Y'know, it's not like United doesn't deserve all the bad press they're getting, but did one of their competitors put a curse on them or something?

I mean, OK, fair point that Moore signed away all his rights to Watchmen, but as a comic writer or artist if you're going to directly use the same Watchmen characters it's fair to be judged by the same criteria that we use to criticize the original books, right? I don't think Sava's review here is trying to argue…
This mermaid show's really got legs
He probably feels like butter scraped over too much bread.
Yeah, it's an interesting contrast. If those writers were doing this show we'd have a big riot on the ship where everyone would die, including a fringe main character (probably the ship captain, say). Then we'd have a lot of reaction shots and sappy music, followed by tons of interminable conversations about how…
I dunno, he makes a lot of bad calls in the book too and basically seems desperate and in way over his head (like the whole bit with the gun that was depicted last episode). I've thought it's a pretty good portrayal so far.

Totally. The soybean that he was carrying around was a nice touch too, it gave him a bit of characterization as well as providing a "maybe it's the protomolecule" red herring for non-book readers.
Yeah, that was well-done, and I liked the detail about EVA suits having magnets in their hands that you can turn on and off in addition to the mag-boots. It does kind of highlight how incorrectly they got the "gravity" during Miller's last adventure on Eros, though.
FWIW, the novels do occasionally mention different Belter accents (particularly for Ceres inhabitants), though they don't really dwell on them.
Wow, that's amazing. It almost makes me wish I hadn't given up on the show around season 3.
Plus $10 million per weekend in Mar-a-Lago spent on security from the Coast Guard, whose budget he wants to cut in favor of the border wall with Mexico.
