The thing I always liked about ROM was that it was often more of a horror comic in the Swamp Thing vein than a sci-fi comic.  ROM's enemies were psychic alien vampires who would drain people's blood and hang up the bodies in the basement.

Y'know, if Yeats had wanted the line to be "All things fall apart" he would have written it that way.  But he didn't.

If you were enjoying it, would you really be surfing through AV Club comments at the same time?

I hate festivals, but am contemplating coughing up the dough just to see Hot Snakes.

This is well-produced and all, but filk is still filk.

Thanks!

A ton of these links are broken, could someone from the AV Club fix them?  (For example, the ones for WTF and This American Life, but really, check them all because it looks like maybe your intern has been nodding off again)

Yeah, uh, what city is this in?

I don't mind mixing drama in with the funny bits, I just want the funny bits to actually be funny.

After Hours is one of my all-time favorites.  It also got a pretty good Cronenburgian remake in the 1985 update of TZ (which series is overall a lot stronger than I expected it to be).

YHBT.  YHL.

Yeah, I mean, okay, point made Bolaño, but I still didn't think it made for a good book.

Hmm, "Freddy And His Flying Fish" looks suspiciously like "baby's first vaporizer"…

I thought it was gimmicky filler, but I hated almost all of Season 3.

Ok, so obviously this is not a show where paying close attention that the superpowers work in a logical way is going to pay off tremendously.  But:

Hey Oliver Sava, I really like the descriptive attention you give to technical details of the artwork in your comics reviews - keep up the good work!

All he needs to do to win us back is be funny and not insult our intelligence.
