There’s so much wrong with that sentiment, but the biggest is definitely that rich assholes persuade themselves that THEY are the only ones that actually work, that no one else does (because if they did they’d be billionaires right?)

As a dad, and in fact one probably old enough to be your dad, I would just like to say #notalldads

When she first won the primary I was like “hell yeah, that’s great.” It looked like someone took Bernie’s economic populism, ran with it and beat an entrenched centrist in a district that’s overwhelmingly likely to go D. So it was a good seat to primary strategically since it was a low risk of going R, she doesn’t

Georgia lawmakers are condemning Spencer in kind for his Who Is America? appearance

Barbara Lee? Barbara “the only goddamn person in Washington DC who was right about Iraq before that whole clusterfuck started” Lee? That Barbara Lee?

A lot of folks on the left seem to want to bend over backwards to try to give her the benefit of the doubt. She doesn’t say much or appear in public often, so it’s easy to see her as a blank screen to project some hoped-for humanity on, but on the rare occasions she DOES say something it’s awful.

I’ve never been into nostalgia so once the 80s ended I left them there, but a lot of the time one of my youthful favs gets a re-examination it seems like it’s hella problematic.

America is willing to torture, and those who participate in such programs will not face any legal or even professional jeopardy. This is who we are.

OK I’ll give this one more try. First, you’re not a Republican but somehow you noticed that both Trump and Blankenship are Republican, and made it a point to mention Bill Clinton and Obama, and somehow still don’t remember George W Bush, but fine, you are Not A Republican.

As a white dude who only casually observed the hotep scene, it seems like it started out as a positive thing - encourage people to take responsibility for themselves, respect others, avoid dissolute behavior and generally conduct yourself with a sense of pride - and ended up devolving into the kind of “pull your pants

Just an observation, but here’s how it seems to me: News outlets are terrified of saying any actual people tortured, but they’ve come around to the idea that torture occurred. So the NYT or WaPo will write about the CIA’s torture program, but Gina Haspel oversaw enhanced interrogation. This, by the way, is how we end

You missed someone between those two, big guy.

I know a guy who’s a plumber and he dreads having to do jobs for them, says they’re the absolute worst. They’ll try to chisel him down from a $50 job etc.

Thanks for posting this. My immediate thought was of the Denver Post, which is just the latest and highest profile example of PE scumbags ransacking a profitable business in order to become even more obscenely rich and then walking away from the blighted, ruined husk with nothing but hardship and job losses to show

They spared no expense getting the bottle to resemble her, did you know if you press down on Kim K’s actual head she hisses out a flowery, soapy mist that she had her saliva glands genetically modified to secrete?

It’s almost instinctive, yeah? :p

It’s easier than stopping all the lying, anyway.

I still wonder how Billy gets paid to copy and paste his catalonian uncle’s facebook updates.

On behalf of Canadians, apologies.

This is a fine comment, and I know nothing at all about New Brunswick.
