Baked chicken. It's incredibly easy to make and you don't really need a recipe - just dip the chicken in egg/milk, coat in flour, cook. It's my go-to technique when I don't know what to do with chicken.

I've made baklava once and I did not think it was easy. Just trying to get the layers put together before the phyllo dries out is not something a beginner would find easy. It was a lot of fun though, I'll admit.

I remember seeing this video when it first came out. I wasn't going to watch it at first and I'm not sure I can put into words why I finally did. Maybe because I don't believe these crimes should go unseen and ignored? That 'out of sight, out of mind' should never be allowed for something like this? I'm not sure

When I took my dog to obedience classes they had me walk her on a gentle leader with a really short leash, and then slowly give her more and more slack. I had to verbally correct her every time she started to move away from where I wanted her walking. It's worked pretty well.

I <3 your pit bull too. When I get another dog someday, I want a pit.

We had a cat that would do this into adulthood. I'd say just distract the kitten when its chewing its tail with a different toy.

My roommate's dog likes to chase my cats. What's a good way to make her stop? She doesn't seem to be aggressive, I think she just likes to watch them run. We've got some dog-free areas of the house for the cats, but I'd rather not have them harassed if they leave those rooms.

If it makes you feel any better about the future of humanity, I have a youngish couple in my Bible study group that are working to adopt a girl that the mother has abandoned at the hospital. The girl is most likely going to be mixed race and they are thrilled because they think kids with that background are adorable.

That's a good point about picking up bad habits. I've got a friend that just started taking lessons, I should ask if her teacher is still taking students.

Personally, I feel the government shouldn't have to tell us what vaccines to get. It should be common sense. But the reality of the situation... and is it just me, or does she sound like she's veering dangerously close to vaccine-autism conspiracy theory? Maybe this is why my household has been so quiet about

I have trouble understanding how the internet can on one hand, be so open and secure for so many people that are marginalized or abused in society, and then on the other hand be a place where stuff like this simply does not surprise me. It's like the internet only brings out the extremes of people, be it compassion

I studied music all through elementary to high school. I didn't go into a music field, but I continue with it as a hobby and have picked up three more instruments in addition to the first one I learned. I sometimes play at events as part of pick-up bands for folk dancing and even got asked to play for a very small,

I agree completely. I'm starting to think that my Yamaha flute will not only outlast me, but possibly my hypothetical children's children. Learning a bit of instrument repair is also helpful for the minor things.

I love teaching myself new instruments. It's an addiction. I started on the flute back in grade school and have since picked up the harp, violin, and I juuust got something called a saz. I'm still very much the beginner on both violin and saz. I'm thinking about taking lessons for the violin. There's no

I was not a fan of the Winamp app when I used it. Just didn't add enough over the built-in player and it seemed a bit buggy. It'd start playing music at random. Just poof - while I'm listening to Pandora or not doing anything at all it'd start playing something. I finally uninstalled it. I did get it pretty early

Maybe this is unfashionable of me, but whenever I see a cocktail dress in metallic fabric I can't help but think of bad lingerie. Also, Demi Lovato and Alex Vega: don't care about what's going on above the waistline. Cannot stop staring at all the folds in those skirts. Long dresses with tons of folds are a vice of

A cure for FIV would be so awesome. My brother has a FIV kitty and he worries about her a lot. Took an insurance policy on her even (first in our family to do something like that) so that he could always get her treatment if she ever gets ill. There's a lot of FIV cats in our area... just one of the many reasons my

I see no point to this. We must be missing information about this service, because right now it sounds like a library you pay for. Amazon isn't stupid like that... right?

Once again I'm going to sit here and be so, so thankful that even though my medical history is common knowledge around the office, no one makes fun of me and is super-respectful. Unlike my last job. I don't get medical privacy - my disorder is usually noticed by a new person within the first week and they go talk to

My brother bought me a wallet for my birthday and then felt terribly guilty about buying me such a "crappy present", even though I used it for almost five years. But wallets aren't such a big deal for me since I've yet to find a woman's wallet that'll fit in my pocket -anyway- and they all get chucked into my purse.
