That being said, there are probably a bunch of TB teams with, say, CFL logos and such that haven't been touched by EA. (To my knowledge, no game developers own the CFL rights, hence that example.)…

I'm not saying that won't also happen. Of course, I just use Teambuilder for things like USFL teams anyway.
