The letter grade says, “This is good,” and the recap says, “Hope you enjoy being spoon-fed recycled pap.” And they can both be right. I’m sure fans will love this. And if, like me, you thought that The Mandalorian was aggressively mediocre in almost every way, this is sure to be another forgettable meal from the The…
I appreciate Kotaku’s reporting of the Activision-Blizzard fiasco, and the generally quality journalism that comes from the site. I hope that everyone on staff continues to deliver great content that keeps me coming back.
I’ve appreciated Handlen’s Discovery reviews. They remind me of “classic” A.V. Club - in depth, and actually critical. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of the folks still watching this show would prefer fanboy patter.
Before I clicked on that link I knew it was the AA’s zero to hero series. Even if you don’t care for the game it’s god tier philosophical shitposting
You're actually being sincere about this idea, aren’t you? God help us
The amount of people who will bend over backward to defend predatory behavior is depressing.
They’re going to wait months, after the holiday cash rush, to redesign the god awful economy they’ve set up, if they do at all. I cannot think of a single AAA title F2P or otherwise with a more predatory monetization scheme than this game. It makes Overwatch and Ubisoft look generous.
“Though completely different situations, this comes more than a month after after the still-under-investigation crowd surge at the Travis Scott-headlined Astroworld event in Texas that left multiple people dead.”
personal opinions is one thing, donating to politicians that actively target minorities and make their lives significantly worse is quite another.
Yeah, this is what I hate about the whole situation. I see a vocal group against all this stuff online. But I know that there’s always a vocal group against the new shit, no matter how bad it is. In the end, though, the mainstream usually accepts it.
I’m just thankful that indie gaming is thriving.
this is a free to play PVP mode, but it is not pay to win. The fact some people are prone to swallowing the hook of paying for being able to play a virtual dress up with their avatars is the real problem. I’m all for paying artists for their work, but when business model of a game is based on exploiting FOMO, impulses…
it literally says “infinite” in the title for a reason
“In a recent interview with Wired, 343i boss Bonnie Ross says that Halo Infinite is “Halo-as-a-service”.”
Considering the dev hasn’t updated the game in over a year I’d say there’s a 50/50 chance it’s been abandoned. The early access version is fun enough with friends though, if not a bit pricey.
Cops, “respect us.”
You're correct. Small price to pay though to get the entire PS4 library gratis if you have a second machine such as a PS5.
you need to be on 9.0 to jailbreak. PSN won’t even let you touch it unless you’re on 9.03. So you can’t even connect online or to the store with this.
I think I speak for everybody when I say fuck Activision for everything they did to Raven Software.
You sound like a young person growing up in a morally bankrupt society - born into a world where gambling is normalized in children’s games.
