That story makes me so angry in hindsight. A literal child was being slutshamed online, scumbag sites like Encyclopedia Dramatica stalked her for years, and all anybody wanted to talk about what the fact her dad had a hick accent. It’s everything bad about the internet except actual Nazis.

The absolute and utter failure of the Democratic leaders to defeat a monster like Trump is all of the proof you need that the money approach to politics and the kowtowing to rich donors and their greed is a loser.

Something I am finding very irritating is that Biden’s statement would actually be pretty great if he’d just managed to squeak out an “I’m sorry” in there. He admits that he’s behind the times, that his behavior needs to change and promises to do so. Perfect addendum TO AN APOLOGY.

Yeah, and certainly questioning their intentions. There’s something to be said that if you trust someone you don't have to question their intentions, so surely that's what's going on here. Splinter trusts Bernie so they don't ascribe the same suspicion they might to someone else (we all do this though).
