God, I hope you are right. CS is one of the few multiplayer games that has hooked me for life with how effortlessly simple and clean it’s gameplay loop is. If it died, leaving only Valorant (🤮), I’d be devastated.

I was referring more to valves system of “move your chair wherever you want to work and pick the project that interests you!!” system. That seems just absurdly inefficient and too experimental for managing a service game.

There’s a massive controversy relating to cheating in an official Valve sponsored tournament (E.G Valve isn’t caring enough to protect integrity) so I don’t have high hopes for the future.
