one of the key plot points in the movie was his domineering boss having sex with his love interest. I think the male power dynamics (their framing, not mine) inherent in this scene takes it in a different direction then just “dehumanizing”.
it’s a simple analysis of subtext, or the authors message. it’s not a moral judgement.
