Modern cars are planned obsolescence, they are also extremely dependent on computers and modern materials...which are harder for the garage restoration chap to fab up. Old cars are made simpler, with large tolerances and generally will be easier to restore.

But how long until "trucks" as we know them are gone from showrooms? Eventually they will have to go to alternate powertrains and at some point, the raw torqe of electric motors will let small, truck-like vehicles sunder apart the appalachians with little more fanfare than a whirring noise. I know I'm gonna catch hell for this, but I'm starting to miss the late 90's/early 00's style of tuning with the graphics, mild body kits, etc. I'm really getting tired of the ratted out style of drifters or the stanced designs that has spread from VWs to damn near everything.
