I realize you guys aren't really into sports and all, but, uh, Kareem played center, the AV club.

they get older?

For comic and Altman fans: Dwayne McDuffie was a student of Altman's who he cites as one of his largest influences, in terms of story structure and such.  which is doubly impressive because I thiiink McDuffie was there for physics?
for non comic fans, McDuffie, who died about a year and a half ago, was one of the most

I'm told rich people occasionally get plastic surgery, also.

You always have to be the hero.
Same to you.

@avclub-7706d2dc2da6837340effd985dc620b6:disqus I don't really consider "really powerful villains" to be painfully contrived in superhero comics.  that's what happens.  there are villains.  and they get fought.  it's not really a contrivance, it's a genre convention.
I disagree with the rest of the stuff, but it seems

@avclub-7706d2dc2da6837340effd985dc620b6:disqus  What you're saying is true if Superman is always the most powerful being in every fight.  In comics, he clearly isn't.  "Hi, I'm the Tyrant sun!" "Hi, I am a being what eats suns."  "Hello, I'm Darkseid, god of evil."  "Hello, I'm the parasite, you being powerful just

Epic disagreement.  That was the somewhat shoddy first season- by the second season, Superman called out batman on being wrong in the first ep. and in the last episode of the season, saved his life from a suicide mission, which led to their "you can be my wingman" moment of "always have to be the hero, don't you?"

He's more conspicuously Moses, anyhow.  "left in the reeds," as the article mentions, in the silver age he accumulates cast offs from Krypton, almost as if he's leading a displaced people more so than the last of a dead people, Much more of a man of action than Jesus… I just think it fits better.

I love Superman like some people love Jesus.  by all means, be baffled.
