This one time I was just sitting in my convertible as it was parked on the side of the road. An undercover cop walks up next to me and starts asking about registration and emissions checks. He then jumps in the driver’s seat and proceeds to take my car for a test drive. He drove like a maniac. We were zooming in and

And how long will that last? Part of the allure of electric vehicles is autonomous driving. And as we know the biggest problem with that is their ability to predict and react to human driving. Take away the human element and the safety increases. Fossil fueled vehicles will become the next “think of the children”

Neutral:

The part I don’t understand about electric cars is the mileage restriction. Why are manufactures still beholden to terms that no longer fit the circumstances. I thought electric cars were more like computers on wheels with fewer moving parts. Why the need to limit the miles?

It’s messed up to mess with someone’s car, but I fail to see how the boy’s condition factors in other than for a better headline. Had it been proven that the car was torched because of the boy’s condition that’s fine, but would this story be less tragic if he was a healthy kid?

Am I missing something? Does Billups have some front office or managerial experience that I dont know of? How is paying him what his resume says he is worth insulting or lowballing? Most people starting out in management are paid below the managerial average.

Reading your comment almost blew my cover. I’m just sitting here quietly trying to kill the last couple hours of the work week when I start cracking up about a sexually abused dog and peanut butter. How do I explain that to my manager? Could you try to be less funny like David Tretheway next time. Thanks.

A model where both the manufacturer and third party store sell a particular item seems to work for other markets. Apple sells its products while also allowing BestBuy, Walmart etc to sell them. Same with clothing lines, other electronics, and basically every market but cars. And I would argue that there is still

The only person keeping us in the dark from the GM’s side of the story is the GM. Jalopnik called and they gave an excuse on why he wasn’t available. You can call and ask but I’m willing to bet you will get an excuse too. If this story seems one sided there is only one party to blame for that.

This is what you point to the next time some pro dealer/salesman says “well if you don’t want to waste time or play games you can always pay MSRP.”

May I ask what kind of numbers you got for the 18 Odyssey, and which trim?

It’s not just how many dealers, but how many potential customers are in an area. As Tom has written about before, there are so many people in the NYC area that dealers don’t have to try to win over every person that walks through the door. The trick I guess is to find a market with a decent dealer to customer ratio.

Which model and area? My wife’s Pilot lease ends early July and we were looking at the new Odyssey. But being that it’s a Honda, and a new model with still limited stock I don’t know if it’s even worth moving forward. I test drove it and like it but I figure it’s just a waste of time at this moment.

I had a rental a couple years ago with a proximity key. Dropped my wife off at the house and drove to the store only to realize the key and my phone were in my wife’s bag. I had to walk home and back cursing that technology. I still don’t know what’s worse, walking home, or driving there in a Sentra

Maybe Saddam didn’t have a Gortex coat so he burned the cars to stay warm.

To sum it up, two politicians enter into a dick swinging contest, regular citizens are the losers yet again. Seems like this could be the synopsis of basically every political story.

Maybe Amtrak has been giving the DA free tickets like the Eagles. Seemed to keep their players out of court.

The Philly Parking Authority calls that a Tuesday.

So the question becomes how does the local government plan on making up the money? They aren’t going to just accept taking in less revenue. Something else will need to be put into place to pick up the slack.

Don’t have kids do you? Otherwise you would know that it’s best to pick your battles, even with kids. A hard line with things like not drawing on the walls or taking a bath after playing in mud, sure, but if bringing along a second toy is what it takes to keep my kids from turning a quick trip to the store into a
