Again, no, it doesn’t. I don’t have children and never will. That does not mean that the amount of taxes I pay that goes toward public schools benefits me zero, numbnuts. A well-educated populace provides benefits that extend beyond the recipients of the education.

It really does not at all depend whether you make that distinction when you control for the services received in exchange for the taxes (e.g. better safety net, “free” basic healthcare, more equitable schools, etc.). This is the weirdest thing about which defend Trump, et al.
