Good luck, because that sounds nuts!

OT, but one of my asshole toxic (former) friends used to have that saying framed and hung at his place. My mutual friends and I would always joke that he’ll surely be blinded by the light created!

Hilariously horrifyingly, it’s actually worse. If his kids are granted Secret Service protection (they will be) and they travel on his private jet accompanied by Secret Service to spend time with daddy, we, the tax payers, will actually be paying Trump for the cost of the Secret Service’s travel. Hurrah!

Why not both?

I imagined myself receiving this and basically wondered those exact things. “Why would a box be a gift? Does something special need to go into this special box? Is this really my box, or will it be filled with things that are not mine posthaste? WHY DID I JUST RECEIVE A BOX AS A GIFT?!”

You’re an angel, because that would drive me absolutely bonkers.

This is such a good point that often gets lost in this conversation.

Ahem...

...wow. I mean, it’s all nutso, but coming from a law school student, s/he should know that bar records (especially, admission statuses) are public, so s/he could (in)validate the claims about BHO’s and Michelle’s bar admissions pretty easily.

I definitely remember that one! That whole family was made up of cheaters—they’d purchased contemporary foodstuffs and toiletries, too, if I remember correctly.

Well, he’s not wrong...

Never seen him without that mess on his face. Trim that crap, Chuck! I mean, you’ll still be a dipshit, but you’ll be easier to look at!

Agreed! I wouldn’t usually care that the stories have gotten less graphic (I mean, I need to think that there’s at least a little good in the world), but because of that, Mike’s sensational editorializing feels so much more shallow. He’s always been a bit dramatic to me in describing events, but now, I sometimes

Touché!

Wait...so, can one be a clown if he is not dressed like a clown!?

She didn’t carry it around, but for some reason, my grandmother used to keep a machete handy in her bedroom. Still kinda freaks me out to this day.

HOW IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND!?

You’ve expressed the thoughts that I couldn’t quite form into coherent sentences last night, so thanks! This is exactly what I mean in “treating” (both in the medicine and in society) mental illness. When society (and an individual) treats mental illness as “bodily illness,” it allows people with these issues to seek

I totally agree with your points. Though, I think we should acknowledge that the stigma regarding mental illness comes from much more than what we call it and that some of the stigma comes from the the lack of good research/knowledge on what causes certain mental illness and how they can be treated. I think the

Been lurking in this thread, but just want to raise a possible answer regarding your question about why ‘illness’ is used in mental illness. This is my personal opinion, and I am no expert in the field, but I think there is a possibility that, even though removing ‘illness’ from the description may de-stigmatize it,
