I love this comment because it really shows how big-city people see small-towns. Madras is not small nor in the middle nowhere. It has all the necessities, many restaurants, and its near Redmond, a city with everything else including a commercial airport.

There is one other way that no one has mentioned and I think is the easiest way to do this puzzle - Have Link glide into the maze than push the ball to the finish. The ball is light enough that Link can push it uphill.
