After reading so many Behind Closed Ovens, I find that I really don’t like customers who abuse food service workers.

I live in a kid-friendly neighborhood. My neighbor has a gun and acts like he’s the most godly-ist person around. Keeps his house and yard spic and span, pays his bills, helps neighbors, all around good guy, etc.

The guy in my neighborhood who was doing this right after Obama got elected in 08 wound up shooting 3 police officers after setting them up for an ambush at his home. He was ultimately taken alive and is now on death row.

I have a crazy hoarder uncle who really does think Obama is going to come after his guns. He mainly has hunting rifles and some shotguns. A few years ago, my cousin decided to treat her parents to a trip for their 40th anniversary. He blatantly refused at first, thinking his guns would disappear. Then later agreed if…

Mind you:

The fact that “responsible gun enthusiasts” - especially the owners/managers of a gun shop who are supposed to be the goodest, most responsibleist, and most level-headed of all the gun tribe - enthusiastically market a weapon that’s just been instrumental in the deaths of 50 civilians in a non-combat zone reeaaallly…

I think a lot of people assume there’s more to buying a gun than there is. It’s easier than buying a car. It’s easier than buying a washing machine. It’s very, very easy. It’s shocking to a lot of people.

My cousin is stockpiling weapons because “Obama is going to take them away!!” She is a suburban white girl who has never been attacked or hurt and owns enough arms to start her own militia. I don't get it....

As the thread above this one is making painfully clear, plenty of people here don't believe rape is a serious offense, either.

That discussion is for the consideration of non-violent offenders. Not for rapists. Is your comment a joke? Am I missing something?

What a thoughtful and well-written response. I’ve said this a lot in conversations with friends, but this juror’s statement is another example of how this was a “good” case - as in, there were eye witnesses, the police did what they should have done, the jury did what they should have done - and yet the punishment…

Finally, a law preventing all of these terrible sexy ruses I keep falling for.
