Exactly. If it's unclear, just update the post with a clarification instead of getting all bent out of shape in the comment section. If it's a mistake, it's a mistake. And it can be easily fixed without a "OMG CONTEXT PEOPLE!!!" comment. Especially since most people questioning that last sentence weren't being

Instead of being dismissive, maybe you should actually listen to what MANY commenters are saying about that last sentence. Just because we don't work for Jez doesn't mean we don't have a point.

I Don't Notice What You Look Like Because You Scare Me When You Catcall!

Reads pretty snarky.

I'm quite familiar with the masthead, thanks. I was merely wondering if Julianne signs off on her own stuff or if it's someone higher up. If she does, then she really ought to have been clearer with the article's final sentence. That's all I'm getting at and I do regard it as a fair question.

"When you become an editor at Jez..."

No. The writer wasn't clear. The sentence at the end is awkwardly worded and tacked on. It's not a surprise that so many people aren't interpreting it as "the mixtape was sponsored by Pelle Pelle" and instead seeing it as a "full disclosure!" blurb at the end of a sponsored article. You know how you fix this? End the

Okay, that's fine—my mistake. I don't think it's crazy that I thought that, considering the wording.

A sponsored positive review.

Dude - tell me this shit is sponsored up front so I can decide if I want to slog through what will amount to a positive review (regardless of how good said mixtape is).

I guess there's no polite way to say this — and this is certainly not directed at you, Isha — but, man, it would be really nice if Jezebel could leave Amanda Bynes alone for awhile. Besides, whatever it is that she's going through right now does not belong in a breezy gossip round-up column.

Whoa. Super bitchy-for-no-reason article. Nobody else is taken aback by this? It's just...odd.

"Cherry pick data"? If you're referring to Sarkeesian's videos, that's...not what's going on. Like, at all. Unless, of course, you want to argue that a huge chunk of academic cultural and media criticism is "cherry picking data".

And everyone has a political agenda. Choosing not to talk about this stuff is political;

Sorry Evan, but Geralt has moved on from that. The Witcher is about journalistic ethics now.

To be fair, Christian Bale didn't use the Method as an excuse. He never mentioned it in the context of that incident at all. He freaked out and overreacted at a shot being ruined by the same guy for the second time after 20 hours on set, and he apologized in a very genuine way and said he acted like an asshole.

Wow.

This feels a bit like comparing Barbie with Hilary Clinton - both around the same age and female, but that's where the similarities end. It does a disservice Malala and all other campaigning females. Malala isn't awesome because she's compared to Bristol Palin. Malala is awesome full stop.

this article just seems kinda mean. I wouldn't want to be compared to Malala either.

I'm going to be blunt.

Look, I get your complete disdain for the wedding industrial complex. I also think it makes people very stupid. However, your scapegoating of an individual like she's some sort of Typhoid Mary is really getting disturbing. If she had flown to Ohio for, let's say, a funeral of her beloved father, would you be as
