I pay almost no attention to Consumer Reports' car information. If I'm looking for a new washing machine or toaster, yes, I'll check their information. But not cars.
You forgot: ... and which I now expect you to help me set up, repair, and troubleshoot all without ever once saying, 'I told you so!'
Very cool stuff. I have a penchant for fussy, putzy work... I can see myself really enjoying this kind of work.
>I'm not going to say the Camaro ZL1 Convertible is ugly.
Clarkson is smarter than you. And funnier.
I *like* the blips, Matt. I don't always have time to read long feature pieces, so I appreciate quick little bits sprinkled throughout the day.
We have the FSM for our Mercedes. It assumes that when a car is in the shop, ALL maintenance prescribed by the factory will be done at the point. Not always applicable for a 27 yr old car with 189,000 miles on it, sorry. We're not going to do everything, all the time, sorry, but that how the procedures are written,…
I disagree. We have both for several of our cars, and because the Haynes manual is written for hobbyists and amateurs, it often offers a perspective that the factory manual, which is written for professional mechanics, doesn't have.
Very scary accident. A good reminder to everyone to be careful when under cars (and that even if you're careful, accidents can still happen.)
That was my immediate thought as well... one does not go underneath a car unless it is securely and properly lifted off the ground.
It looks more like a diaper.
I want the TwinAir. PLEASE GIVE ME THE TWIN AIR.
That is such a freaking awesome picture, Jetstar.
Husband's a good amateur mechanic. He can do a lot. But he can't do everything. Because, like you say, tools. And a lift. A lift would be nice...
Marry one.
This sort of behavior seems widespread.
Before the brothers all be dead.
