When I was in high school, my dad had an 82 VW Scirocco with all sorts of random electric problems, several of which could be solved by whacking the dash in certain places.

It seems like there maybe should be a mechanism in place to black-flag someone if they are *that* many laps down. It's really a safety issue if your car is so much slower than everyone else.

Matt, I think this is the issue: "Every time you come to her, she doesn't know whether she's going high or low" Other drivers can't "read" what she's doing. She's being indecisive. And that's dangerous on the track. It's sloppy driving. Yes, she's a rookie, but she shouldn't be that sloppy, not at the Nationwide

Aw, that's no fun. You should've kept them in the car, and anytime a non-car person rode with you, you'd hand them the bolts, tell them you just finished repairs and had them left over, and would they please hold them for you. Then take them out on some crazy county roads for some hard driving...

"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.' "

I can mostly manage it with the blueTunic add on, but even then, it's kind of a pain. I'm slowly getting better at it though.

I guess that's the reason my dad taught me to be really leery of additives and fix-in-a-can sort of solutions. Yikes!

I never saw 1, 2, or 4.

Umm, that's downright dangerous, having them that tight.

Awesome. :-) Enjoy that new car smell...

Now, that's just tempting fate to brag like that. Pride goeth before a fall.

Your blinker fluid is leaking, man. Those bolts were the reservoir plugs.

Are you counting Priuses you're running off the road with your new Escape?

Um, don't lots of people get into lots of trouble assuming that buying a vintage car is an "investment"?

By all accounts, he did. :-) Half the town has turned out for his funeral.

One of the Queen's corgis yelps in pain every time someone does stuff like that to a Range Rover.

>You should see it as a pilot study.

VS is right. Flex.

The Volt is very interesting tech. I wish it didn't come with all the government baggage, the sense that it was rushed into production to meet a political agenda. But the concept of it is really cool.
