I don’t care for agave in drinks, it tastes funky to me. Also it’s not non-caloric, which is the point of Splenda. If I wanted to use sweetener, I’d just go with sugar rather than the fructose-rich agave, too.

Like that ^^^. There’s a hole at the top of the raised part for drinking out of, or you can put a straw through it. I have used reusable straws and cups for years anyway, so this won’t affect me much. I was coming from the hospital the night I got to try the new lid, so I didn’t have my usual cup with me.

I got a drink with one of those strawless lids recently from a Starbucks in Dallas. Pretty cool design, very practical...except for those of us who can spill anything and usually do. There’s no cover for the hole and I ended up bumping it when putting it in the car cupholder and it spilled.

They recommend you don’t because the Sodastream can get clogged or contaminated if you carbonate anything besides plain water. But it’s your toy, give it a try if you want.

I make a syrup from cold brew concentrate, Splenda (because it mixes well with cold liquids and because I’m trying to keep calories down in general) and sometimes flavoring like orange extract.
