Well
Though I won't be watching this at all, it is good to see James Marsden getting work.

I tend to agree with you that the book sort of dropped off in its last act, although I tended to attribute it more to there being too many coincidences tying together too neatly. Cal's roommate in that time was a pretty interesting character, though.
I had seen a couple of episodes of Buffy six or seven years ago, and not only was I predisposed not to like it, but I actively avoided Whedon. I found it, at first, to be campy and uninteresting. Then I started working nights and catching episodes of Angel on TNT.

How curious
She must have been really interesting and/or frustrating to interview. For the most part, she didn't go at all in the same directions you did. I'd chalk it up to language barrier, but I get the feeling that Ms. Varda is just a singular, unique lady. I'm not familiar with her work, but it was fascinating to…

Where does Jimmy Smits factor in to all of this?
Chest McLargehuge.
Yes!
I've been waiting for this one to come along.

Could be cool
I hadn't watched this season of Reaper, but (no cancerAIDS required, congrats McSmearbritches) I pretty much loved the first season. It had the same kind of ethos I like about Whedon's work, in that it weaved drama and nerdery around really good comedy. Could prove to be a fruitful relationship.
I was raised to call them African-American holes.
She has, however, read all the newspapers and magazines.
This season
How's S2 of Reaper been thus far? I enjoyed the shit out of the first season, but I missed the first few weeks it was on and never got caught back up with it.
Fringe is a more exciting, nerve-wracking show, but I think Dollhouse has the potential to be a much, much better show.
Well, realistically, the Ballard/Dollhouse deal is a weird win/win for both parties.
Glad I'm not the only WoW nerd here.
Yeah, I think people forget just how bad the first season of The Office really was. This is considerably more developed than that show was at the same stage. Give it some time and I think it'll work out.
The show is pulling. it. off.
