Your point really should be at the top of any discussion surrounding #metoo. No one on this thread is judging his case or a jury member at his trial. What we’re going by is credibility. Right on this thread with only about a dozen comments on it at this time, multiple examples of Moonves’ amoral attitude in other areas

“Innocent until proven guilty” is a legal standard; neither your personal judgement, nor general public perception, nor corporate publicity management needs to conform to legal standards. He is to be presumed innocent by the government, and the rest of us are free to acknowledge the obvious truth of the matter. It’s

Can nobody in all of central NY reach this man with just one box of heavy-duty Reynolds Wrap foil??

Re: Rich celebrities on TV.

Exactly. Fellow fat woman here, and I’m very bored of the idea of actors putting on fat suits (in which they always look extremely dumpy and frumpy for some reason.....) because there are still creators who see fat people telling their own stories as absurd and don’t believe that fat people actually groom themselves

Aside from whether it’s good or not, you can make an over the top satirical statement about fat shaming without using the trope of “fat girl loses weight, is deemed hot and is now important enough to be heard.”

Yes to all of this!

Someone who isn’t into hair/make-up when they are fat isn’t going to magically go all femme once they lose weight. It’s insulting to think that fat people don’t care about looking nice while fat (which ties into why there’s such a lack of cute plus-size clothing)

She loses the weight by having her jaw WIRED SHUT. Do you want young kids thinking that’s a desirable way to shed pounds?

Yep. Love it when so-called feminists show their asses around these issues.

The amount of people in these comments defending this trash...

Yeah, this show doesn’t need to exist.

Just don’t watch it. More importantly, don’t hate watch it.

I think there’s a huge difference between using the legal elements of harassment and a statement like that eye of the beholder remark, which was disgusting (especially in light of the fact that this is a sexual harassment case and beauty/attraction is not exactly unrelated to the case at hand).

And I’m not saying that this kind of conduct shouldn’t be considered severe sexual harassment. I’m saying that the lawyer’s argument is fair under existing law.

This is the argument his lawyers need to make though. Sexual harassment is unwanted sexual conduct that is so severe, pervasive or persistent that it impacts the recipient’s job. His lawyer needs to argue it wasn’t severe, persistent or pervasive. One day of conduct isn’t going to be persistent or pervasive, and

But SHE knew, and that’s why she’s a benevolent goddess.

We all had no idea how much we needed this.

This is the gayest news ever. Every time this album is played a fairy will get it’s wings, and I’m LIVING for it.
