yeah the more subtle styling is a big win in my book

I feel like there’s a ceiling on the price of old Panthers, no matter how pristine and well-kitted they are. As used cars, they’re a bargain basement way to get a sturdy, rock-simple, comfy cruiser–in this case with a little extra spice. This seller is trying to break the ceiling, and I don’t see it happening.

In the before times, this is the grandparent special that you score for <$5k from *insert friend/family* because the previous owner can’t drive anymore. The vehicle that spent 15+ years going to church and the grocery store. I know prices have changed, but is any 20 year old Mercury worth $20k in literally any

This looks amazing. Like a throwback to the Honda of hte 90s.

I know there’s likely a very clear explanation, but I just can’t understand how the hell you can Austin Powers a goddamn cargo ship.

lol. you clearly have no idea what third-world really is. I’ve seen third world, and cali aint it... by all definitions, California is by far one of the most developed states in the nation, and will continue to be that way. take any example, income standards, economy, infrastructure, state funding surplus, and HDI...

Maybe if grids fucking installed peak load batteries and also encouraged people to install batteries in their home, they wouldn’t have to... deal with peak loading and having so much excess power generation in the rest of the day.

The legendary Ralliart name returns to the U.S. in early calendar year 2023 with Outlander, Outlander PHEV, Eclipse Cross, Outlander Sport and Mirage receiving unique body effects, graphics and other rally-inspired touches.

I think it’s partially because the move away from centralized journalism for news also applies to cars here. I get more car info from papa Doug and other youtube reviewers than I do from ordinary car journalism, and I would rather see a Doug video on a new car than read a Car & Driver article on the subject.

I really like your idea 3) regarding solar panels and such becoming required for new construction. But I think you miss an opportunity as well.

1) “...Charger Daytona SRT Banshee EV Did I Miss Any Other Words concept...” Chuckle, chuckle. Snort, snort.

they’re a “stealership” because they’re middlemen that add nothing except increased cost. the dealership model exists, in reality, to benefit dealers, not consumers. they’ve paid mightily to own politicians over the years and it has paid off many times over.

That beats the 2002 LeSabre I saw on our local lot for $6,000.

I bought a Polestar 2 this year and it’s a D2C setup. No haggling, no add-ons, no markups. I ordered my car and did my credit application online, test drove the car at the showroom, and I think I had to lay down two or three wet signatures before driving off with the car two weeks later. It was the only pleasant car

I did saw a green Rivian truck the other day and I never wanted a car so bad in my life.

I saw my first Rivian yesterday, it was slick as hell.

Just randomly mentioning that i saw my first Lucid this weekend and its fucking amazing. It was a beautiful lustrous black color and it was bigger/wider than i expected. Just oozed style/substance/presence. One hell of an impressive vehicle.

I don’t believe there’s 20 million people that want a Tesla. Other automakers are making all electric cars way more compelling.

Toyota is reached king of the hill by over-engineering cars in the 80s. Then doubled down on that over-engineering in the 90s, cementing its reputation across the entire world for decades to come. Toyota easily has the largest, and longest lasting brand loyalty out of any car maker today, because they made reliable,
