They are on strike.

Oh snap! I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for the heads up.

Where is everyone? There hasn't been an article since like Monday. What's going on?

Another day with no articles? Everyone on strike or something?

Yeah but there is no better that they can do. According to the author, the original cast is fundamentally incapable of doing right by any setting that isn’t traditional ‘European’ fantasy.

35 slideshows on Lifehacker no one will click through this year....

RE: the the pre-edit article, if I were a dev who had just spent 4-ish years working on Infinite I’d personally be livid seeing the title being associated front and center with transphobia just for the sake of a petty dunk on an author who has (deservedly) already been raked over the coals for her views. What is

Offensive clickbait, even. And it’s Renata Price again.

articles like this don’t do trans people any favors whatsoever

She’s acting a fool on her twitter and pretending the headline was a “joke”. I don’t think there’s a shred of self-awareness.

Same! This shit brought me out of lurk status.

Oof, not normally a commenter, but long time reader, this is just bad and in bad taste.

Nice, you updated the click-bait title but still have the complete garbage first paragraph with useless and absurd generalizations and insults. Regardless of what you think of Rowling, you just assume everyone who has ever had an interest in her work is transphobic. Further still you don’t talk any more about it in

I’ve been feeling this way for a couple of years now. Or whenever the mass exodus of writers started. I agree with the general stances/politics, but the writing has been so terrible with shoehorned opinions/politics and bad editing and the clickbait is worse than ever. I’m in search of another site for gaming news.

I am proudly transgender, and have been reading Kotaku for years. If that headline and opening are where the site is going, I want nothing to do with it. That was downright scummy and insulting.

Oh good, they fixed the headline, but still have this doozie in the opener:

The headline here is tasteless and reductive to the overall LGBTQ+ / HP conversation.

Holy fucking shit Kotaku...
