I watched the Wish trailer with my wife and some friends and we all felt the same thing. It just felt largely soulless and the animation wasn’t doing it any favors. I get what they were going for in trying to make it look like a pastel painting/storybook but the character design (particularly the lead) is so by the

I saw a lot of ads for Strange Worlds but honestly a 50s esque sci-fi film was just not what I wanted. I saw Lightyear because in terms of science fiction I preferred its more modern approach. I saw Puss in Boots because I heard it was exceptional (it was). I did not see Strange Worlds because the best I heard about

I was wondering the same. I played Wrecking Crew a lot as a kid (and have been replaying it recently) and I’ve always known him as Spike. The oddity of the “Blackie” name to me is that I can’t even see a reason to give him that name as the sprite was clearly a long nosed white guy. Japan has a problem with black

I just wish this film came at a time when I wasn’t Marvel’d out. I’m just feeling diminishing returns from their products as they’re all too “samey” for me at this point. I come out of each film and TV series thinking “yeah it was allright” but I just want to see something new now.

I’m in th ecamp that is just

Technically Deadpool 2 ends with him reversing the fridging by going back in time and saving her.  So they don’t even have to handwave it as they did that in the original movie.

I just posted to say the same thing, man missed the entire point of X-men.  This is also why the X-Men are my favorite super-heroes because their entire struggle is a fight for human rights while dealing with intense prejudice.

While he misused the reference - the X-Men mutants has long been an allegory for gay and lgbt rights. So technically it’s correct in that trans and gay people are the mutants of X-Men - only he entirely missed the point of X-men which advocates that there is nothing wrong with being lgbt and they deserve to be treated

DENTAL PLAN

I guess if that’s what it takes? I’m sad to see San Fransisco in this state. I used to visit there once a year as a child but over the past ten or so years at least it has become terribly unclean and unsafe. I used to attend GDC for business development but always made certain to make it back to my hotel before dark.

Despite having only two Mondo posters and finding them a nightmare to acquire this is a sad loss but also 100% expected due to the buyout by Funko (a company I just hate).

Mondo’s posters always look professional and have such distinct and attractive artstyles.

I’m never letting go of my two (the Transformers 1986 Movie

Meanwhile I’m still being driven insane by their doordash ads on twitch.  Particularly the one where the player “is lagging” because his “batteries are toast” in his controller.  Seriously, it’s an add aimed at gamers, why would you make the odd mistake and think low batteries in a controller would cause lag?

I am honestly confused by the conflicting tone between this article and this one

It’s somewhat funny to me because I started playing Tactics Ogre Reborn while I was halfway through Engage and I find myself enjoying Tactics Ogre much more in terms of both the strategy and the story.   And this is coming from a longitme fan of FE and particulary of Three houses, Path of Radiance and Sacred Stones

This is how I started to feel partway through. There are some characters I really like (Louis and Zelkov) but most are very forgetable. The plot is so bare bones it just has no nuance or interest. Meanwhile the life sim elements are fun at first (fishing, exercise and the shmup) but quickly get dull to the point where

I echo your sentiments on the finale exactly. I know a lot of people watching this show who never played the game and I am deeply invested in seeing how they react at the ending.

This bugged me as well, I just can’t suss out how this connects to the Arkham Knight story at all given how it ends. You’d practically need to have an entire exposition dump to just explain that quirk of narrative choice.

What actually bothers me more about it than it being a looter-shooter (albeit I AM bothered by that because of the history these types of games has) is that it looks like all four characters practically play the same.

They tried to state how they were different but in the end all it looked like was watching four

Same, I actually thought the trailer was a joke ad for sneakers and not a trailer for an actual movie.

I am moderately confused by the conflicting posts on Kinja regarding this. I feel like very post leading up to a few days ago was “avoid the game because JK Rowling is awful” and suddenly I’m seeing post after post of “get hyped for the game, here’s links to buy it where we may get a commission.”

I know different

A couple of others I would recomend that are not on this list -at least in the anime field
