This is how I started to feel partway through. There are some characters I really like (Louis and Zelkov) but most are very forgetable. The plot is so bare bones it just has no nuance or interest. Meanwhile the life sim elements are fun at first (fishing, exercise and the shmup) but quickly get dull to the point where

I echo your sentiments on the finale exactly. I know a lot of people watching this show who never played the game and I am deeply invested in seeing how they react at the ending.

This bugged me as well, I just can’t suss out how this connects to the Arkham Knight story at all given how it ends. You’d practically need to have an entire exposition dump to just explain that quirk of narrative choice.

What actually bothers me more about it than it being a looter-shooter (albeit I AM bothered by that because of the history these types of games has) is that it looks like all four characters practically play the same.

They tried to state how they were different but in the end all it looked like was watching four

Same, I actually thought the trailer was a joke ad for sneakers and not a trailer for an actual movie.

I am moderately confused by the conflicting posts on Kinja regarding this. I feel like very post leading up to a few days ago was “avoid the game because JK Rowling is awful” and suddenly I’m seeing post after post of “get hyped for the game, here’s links to buy it where we may get a commission.”

I know different

A couple of others I would recomend that are not on this list -at least in the anime field

And I will continue to operate Windows 7 because Adobe Premiere CS5 doesn’t work on Windows 10 which would mean not only would I have to buy the software all over again - I can’t even buy it and would have to go with Adobe’s ridiculous subscription system instead and keep paying them.  So I will continue my outdated

Antiquated FCC regulations are likely the basis. The FCC set guidelines partly based on how likely children were to hear unsuitable content. To give you an idea of how antiquated these rules are - the strictest penalties enforced by the FCC are against radio because when the guidelines were put in place it was true

Personally I’m a fan of his apperance in Teen Titans Go to the Movies because he even acknowledges his presence makes no sense.

Is there a good review of the game in its current state somewhere?  I’m asking as my friend and I are always looking for fun co-op experiences and if the game has improved since launch it may be worth looking into now.

Or you’re arresting the tooth fairy.

I’m with you on this. It is important to take how the game presents itself in context. If this were something like Hatred which is a deeply sociopathic game and actively rewards hate crimes I would have a bigger problem. Or if the game had some subvert messaging like if all the criminals you had to arrest were

This feels like the perfect time to link a clip from my favorite movie.

Some people just aren’t squeamish and aren’t bothered by that sort of thing.  I’m the same way, I’ve watched open heart surgery while eating my lunch.

To this day I’m still annoyed with my sister for her ignoring the seating arrangement at my wedding and placing her boyfriend (now-ex) instead of herself in the aisle seat where he is blatantly visible in almost all wedding photos.

Trespass. In California the penalties are all over the place depending on what they charge him with. Fine can be as little as $75 for a first offense but can be up to $1000 and include jail time.  We’ll likely not know the answer as it will take a while to press charges (assuming the Game Awards and/or the Microsoft

And that’s just what the article is implying.  That they will do this with all the other characters such as Harry Osborne.  The only question is if they will do it for Peter.

Not likely in this case as we are talking about acting roles. You can’t, for example, audition for a role of a ten year old while age seventy and claim ageism when you don’t get the role.  Ageism also applies to hiring and firing and conditions of employment.  Acting is contract work and as such ageism doesn’t apply.

In this case it appears to be because they want to go with facial captures that match the actor’s looks which would be a problem for appearance. Why they want to do that when they were so intent with making Peter go from looking like Andrew Garfield to Tom Holland is anybody’s guess outside of possible Sony meddling.
