The Bronx? Most of the Bronx is quite nice.

I live in a rent-stabilized, decent size apartment in Park Slope. When I signed the lease many years ago moving from the Midwest, I had no idea how fortunate I was never having heard of such a thing. But I sometimes think it holds me back...from moving out of NYC mostly. I always think if I hate it somewhere else,

The UWS was a dump until the late 80s, so if one bought or signed a lease on a rent-stabilized up until the mid- to late-90s, it’s completely plausible.

How is KK’s making fun of Tay-tay’s?

His first comment to her was incredibly rude. I hate when people act like assholes and then get mad when people respond in kind. Over-sensitivity is a huge burden.

That would be great if our cities’ streets weren’t filled to the brim with real guns. If real guns were rare, one could understand that playing it safe makes sense. But the now the likelihood of it being real are high. You’re probably right about what would’ve happened if it were white 13 yo.

There’re already diverse shows with several seasons under their belts pulling in big numbers. Atlanta is benefitting from Black-ish, Empire, Fresh Off the Boat being huge hits, so TV execs see dollar signs. Let’s hope it stays this way but it all depends on the quality of the programming.

I’m so confused. Did you read more of the chat somewhere else? I keep going back up and re-reading it, but I’m not seeing anything about rape.

The meme isn’t a rape joke. Have you listened to the song? Do you know the history behind it?

I got from the email she forward to her team that she was looking for “serious consequences” which usually only arise from serious situations.

Meh, I know a lot of people that work there. It’s not that hard to get a job there. What “shit” did they pull? They referenced a hugely popular internet meme for a second (he didn’t have to dig it up, it was brought to his mind by the alarm)and then IMMEDIATELY apologized. Multiple times. She’s not happy with memes

Spot on.

Exactly. Under no circumstances should he have to leave his job. I get that Danielle has a history of trauma, but they didn’t joke about rape and he was quite gracious the minute she voiced her discomfort.

Where did they joke about rape? Was there an excerpt somewhere else that you saw?

The first season was incredible--a slow burn taking a few episodes to heat up--but the second season was a huge miss.

Seriously. I never, ever update with very good reason.

Who the fuck updates their iPhone OS right after the release? Bush league.

Wow, good on CMT. What if getting canceled by ABC was the best thing to happen to Nashville and it gets reinvigorated and becomes awesome again!

Wait a minute...is the wife of a conservative politician trotting out in a sleeveless shift? Really? Interesting. So, Michelle paved the way—put through shit for it—and now these tricks think they can?

Oh. My. Gawd. He’s clearly been saved. Sign me up!
