I just want Sokka hitting people over the head with boomerangs and moon rock swords
Yes and no. Card rairty does make the pool “smaller” upon initial release but nothing stops the Pokemon Company from reprinting valuable cards over and over and over, effectively tanking the after market value. And they do this often, quite judiciously.
If anything the Pokemon company is one of the rare good guys in the TCG world. If something gets popular, if a card becomes a staple, if a card’s after market value starts going insane they reprint that shit, and reprint it, and reprint it some more. They want people to PLAY their game without breaking the bank.
I think there’s two things working here. One after Eldraine (and lets be real, Theros and Ikoria as well) the ship needed to be righted. When we get too much power there is ALWAYS a rubber band effect of sets getting weaker. Also since Forgotten Realms is suppose to replace a core set it was kind of expected it for it…
I decided to get a PS5 and after a month of following stock trackers and stock notification twitters I finally got one. You’ll pick up on things as you follow these trackers like when stores tend to drop their stocks. My examples might not be of use for since I’m Canadian but I found Wal Mart drops at midnight, Amazon…
Serious answer: while this set is super cool it is also severely underpowered (so far) so the answer is probably “forever”
There’s actually a long standing flavor of rushing water causing bounce effects in magic already, so seems fitting to combine the common D&D trope with the common Magic trope.
Did you not read my post at all? I literally said the few busted cards can be reprinted in a supplemental set that DOESN’T go through standard. Wizards currently does this, whether to feed into Modern or to help older formats with new reprints.
The reserved list protects collectors, full stop. You don’t protect “game integrity” by not reprinting older cards. Most of the cards on the reserved list wouldn’t even see standard play, and the few that would/break the format would be printed in a supplemental set, not into standard and the cascading effect it has.…
Such disrespect towards a former gang member turned military veteran, eventually achieving the status of 5 time world champion before ascending to royalty.
Nathan never gave us the Titan A.E/Treasure Planet double bill and I hate him for that
Nintendo is litigious but there is literally no legal leg to stand on here. We have precedent. Nintendo has not gone after things like Zelda and Super Metroid Randomizers, Kaizo Mario or the Mother 3 Translation patch. Nintendo does like to shut things down but they CAN’T go after things like this.
You really underestimate how much Canada loves broad and sitcommy
It def feels like there’s a changing tide in the world of Shonen anime. I think years of seeing creators get burnt out (see Tite Kubo and Bleach) and a general better understanding of mental health, coupled with a generation of artists who probably didn’t like seeing a series go on needlessly and you have things like…
Yes, existing hacks still work after update
A quick check on the Wii U homebrew community shows the patch did nothing to mess up current hacking methods
I think the big mistake was retelling the story of the ORIGINAL Warcraft, a game that even among those who played it isn’t looked at that fondly (Warcraft 2 takes that crown.)
“I’m the ruler of a kingdom that consists of one town, you’re a weird boy who can’t speak and feels compelled to throw every clay pot they walk by into a wall, it’ll never work.”
It’s funny because my wife just took the afternoon playing Fortnite while I took care of the kid.
