I’d be interested in this answer too. There are non fighting games that do use GGPO (Windjammers and D&D: Chronicles of Mystara) but they are kind of Fighting Game adjacent (Windjammers is a 1 on 1 extreme version of Pong, Mystara is a 2d side scrolling beat ‘em up)

Ignoring the impliticit “physical” side of B sides I think the practice is mostly dead now to add songs that didn’t quite deserved to be on the album.
