This is a pretty flawed study as it uses January 1st as the starting point when the 1st US case wasn’t until January 20th. And even then it was much later until people got stay at home orders and etc.

Now watch them claim it was due to coronavirus and they should be exempt under current federal pollution exemptions.

Don’t forget other dangers like getting wind into the water supply and blowing the earth out of orbit!

Well I guess grandma and grandpa will have to ride on the roof, and be sure to tell your kids they aren’t allowed to have any friends because there is simply no room for them.

From what was said of the Taycan headroom, someone who was 6ft had about 2-3 inches headroom. So if you are 6'2, or above you are probably out of luck. As for rear seats, it was reported that its quite cramped for anyone who is taller than 5'10 in both leg room and head room.

The reason is because MPG is done under the 5 cycle EPA test while emissions is done under the 1970s CAFE test. So obviously different testing methods lead to different results.

To tell you the truth, if you select every option available on the Model S, the most expensive you would get is 115k, and that includes full self driving. If you exclude that, it drops to 108k.

Taycan seats 4 adults, not 5. The 5th optional seat is at best for children, not for adults. It is no different than Tesla Model S’s 2 optional seats for seats for capacity of 7.

All Porsche had to do was take the full test. But I guess they figured since its a low production model, it is not worth the cost.

Uhm, the MPGe test is the energy consumption that looks at efficiency. Carbon testing is a completely different test then the EPA 5 cycle test. Even two gas cars with same mpg can release a different amount of carbon.

It’s not friendlier to the Tesla line. It’s simply that EPA before used to require you do the whole 5 cycle test. But to streamline EV production, they made a shortcut where you can do only 2 cycle and then subtract 30%.

Well, everyone who wanted to build the Taycan had to volanteer for a paycut... I wonder if any VW executives volanteered for one too...

Maybe Porsche plans in the future to become a Ferrari type niche brand and let the mid-upper be taken over by Audi?

Yes, there is one exception. What you can do is put in a larger battery, but charge faster but don’t give users more range. Effectively, you are sacrificing battery lifespan for faster charge rate but as a result have less range.

The Taycann and the Model S aren’t really competitors, they are different type of cars with different purposes and uses with some minimum overlap. When the Tesla Roadster comes out though, then that will be competitors.

I would expand the design, make the extension longer so it can turn into a bulldozer/front loader, and then give it the option to scoop up cars in front of you while in traffic and place them behind you.

Her family one day decided to play Russia roulette... she was the only survivor... sad I know.

The whole Avengers end game was crap, probably the worst avengers movie which is a disappointment considering how well infinity war was done.

Tesla gross margins are comparable to Mercedes. If they had Mercedes’ economies of scale, it’ll probably be even higher.

If Tesla was part of Mercedes, they would have been profitable ages ago. That said, Tesla had no interest becoming part of Mercedes.
