The Bolt would do better if they simply put in better seats and let it charge above 55kw.

But as I pointed out, hybrids and BEVs don’t really share resources. Most hybrids use NiMH and those that don’t usually use LFP chemistry.
Maybe LFP or LTO lithium ion batteries, but the most common lithium ion used for BEVs is NMC and NCA lithium ion. Aka, they are using different production lines with different materials other than lithium. But lithium has always made up a tiny portion of a lithium ion battery despite the name.
Follow up, new numbers are in for January 2020, 6.6% of cars sold in Europe were BEVs/PHEVs:
If you want to be practical, then note that hybrids use NiMH batteries, not lithium ion batteries. LiON batteries aren’t well suited for small battery uses like hybrids.
The dealership model has nothing going for it at all. At the very least not a government mandated franchised one.
The thing about that is, if the dealerships do servicing, that means there is an overhead for the servicing. Which can make manufacturers hesitant to do recalls due to that overhead cost. Just like the GM ignition switch issue. The switch itself cost pennies, but the overhead of dealer service brought that cost…
middle man in itself is not the problem, as he mentioned “predatory middle men”. You know, ones who are granted a monopoly preventing direct sales while passing industry controlling laws like no sales on sundays and etc.
I think Tesla was allowed 1 store and that was it in CO. This will definitely help expand EV sales.
I am not convinced the established automakers actually want self driving cars. Cause once that becomes mainstream, how many people will actually own their own car?
When Tesla was selling 100k cars, you think 7.5k tax credits was what made the difference?
You don’t need to be completely sealed, all you need is that there is no gap the size of a door being open and positive pressure. That is all. The positive pressure would prevent new air from entering the gaps as old air is pushed out as it tries to escape from the higher pressure. That is why the fans have to work so…
Agriculture = Define large-scale? There are hydroponic facilities that output a few tons of food every day. As someone who had his own farm land(for personal, not sale), did some hydro and aquaponics as well, there is nothing more labor intensive about it. Well, maybe aquoponics, but you have fish as well. Most of the…
The difference between the two is pretty clear. The media just for some reason doesn’t cover it. Musk does clarify between the two, and when you order, the two are pretty clearly explained.
Yes, his “Fully Self-Driving” cars are capable of hands-off navigation. But what does that have to do with Autopilot?
“If you make something idiot-proof, someone will just make a better idiot.”
There are technical solutions for the problems you mentioned.
Not only that, lithium ion batteries don’t even have any rare earths.
The Chinese gigafactory only produces packs, not cells just an fyi.
I think Tesla names are the most popular. So if you want your brand to be known, it should be related to Tesla. I suggest taking Tesla’s mother’s last name.
