I dunno what Tom is going to say, but I would loudly and emphatically like to point out that having a “mechanically-inclined friend test drive it” is not even in the same ballpark as a PPI. That is, unless your mechanically-inclined friend brought a lift and a tool chest with him, along with several years of

American Express already made one. It is the Centurian card.

I think its funny when they ignore the whole ‘accessories’ part of buying a car.

If you had both hands on the wheel you wouldn’t need an armrest..........

In addition to what Mr Golfs in a Golf said, in Texas your plate is only assigned to your car for only a certain number of years (5-7 I think), after which you get a new plate and new number.

That’s not a regular Ford. That’s a Ford that’s been beaten into shape by Cosworth. It held its own in DTM and BTCC back in the day.

Why not? why should manufactures be obligated to design a vehicle to run with its back door open?

This is the correct response.

You could just save your money and fix the VW 135k is not a super huge amount of miles. Dump some money into fixing its problems, then in a few years give it to the kid, it won’t be so yuck when it’s either this or get a job you freeloading brat and buy your own car. Then go buy yourself a midlife crisis Corvette.

His family refuses to ride in his car that probably should have been sent to the junkyard years ago, so it’s time for a replacement that’s safe but not lame. What car should he buy?

I miss having an old shitty car people hate riding in, it’s the best excuse to not waste gas on them and their poor opinions.

IDK I kind of like to be able to stand up in most places I stay.

It seems to be missing the thrusty bits... And I don’t mean Elvis’ hips.

It’s a fun story, archived here for your reading enjoyment:

you folks need to carry more cash... a hundred dollar bill can get you out of a lot of sh!t and it doesn’t show up on your credit card statement...

Ah yes, the SCC Sentra approach:

Tale old as time.....................

The number of people killed by street racing is vanishingly small. I think it’s something like 20 a year. Not to suggest that street racing is a good thing but it’s not much of a threat to human life. You’re more likely to die of the flu or from someone using their cell phone while driving.

“The street racing scene will continue as people like you continue to write articles which both apologize for and glorify the street racing scene.”

See? *THIS* is why I’m not buying my dream GT350 right now: They’re just gonna keep replacing it with a slightly better one each couple of years.

Yup. That’s the reason. Totally the only reason I don’t own a GT350.
