I’m dumb as a brick, don’t mind this comment.

I was at a Serenity fan screening that Gina Torres attended, and the woman, in person, resembles a goddess.

It might have been nice to see an episode riff on “Married with Children”, but I wasn’t putting too much stock in that.

Even though it would have completely derailed the show I would have loved to see their take on ‘Married... with Children’ (though that show started in 87')

This was the era of TGIF and Must See TV: Full House, Family Matters, Home Improvement, Blossom, among others. There were tons. But tonally they may have still felt too similar to 80s sitcoms. Jumping to Malcolm was a smart choice.

He always struck me as mainstream America’s idea of a SPOOKY person and that kept him relevant, as did teenagers who wanted to signify rebellion but found death metal too icky. I guess he’s tried to be more serious in recent years but it doesn’t seem to have

Wait, Marilyn Manson had a career?

Here is the famous parody ad which went all the way to the Supreme Court. Jerry Falwell reminisces about losing his virginity... to his mother... in an outhouse. Good stuff.

Yes. Goldstein and Flynt were the best bad people.

I always put Larry Flynt and Al Goldstein together in my mental list of First Amendment-defending, thumbing-their-nose-at-America’s-prudes (and obviously very flawed) anti-heroes. May they rest in peace, and in filth!

I think his health took a turn for the worse (maybe a stroke?) and his brother Jimmy and daughter Theresa took over the business side of things while Larry just acted as a face for the company and occasionally did things like those infamous bounties for any evidence of GOP politicians engaged in illicit behavior. That

Well, a far more respectable version at the very least.

... So, he was a successful version of Trump.

Flags tomorrow will be at full mast

Yeah, this guy is a real jerk

I’m really starting to dislike this Brian fella

Joni Mitchell liked to compare him to Yosemite Sam!

Neil Young was smart to get out when he did
