The media gives passes to all sorts of contemptible people because they want to interview said contemptible people and reap the ratings. And even then, what she has said re: LGBT politics isn’t even THAT awful, especially in the context of being a Republican. Mostly just obnoxious and blinded by privilege.

Caitlyn Jenner being a Republican is so whatever. She is not the first person or the last to vote against her best interests, and she is and has been the beneficiary of a whole lot of privilege and so she might not even fully get the discrepancy.
