It’s from Jay Leno’s new line of denim fetishwear.

I have questions about that shirt Jayne has on.

“SCWUUUW ‘EM!!”

Entertainment Weekly gave this movie one of the most memorable scathing reviews I have ever read. What sticks in my head over two decades later is the description of Hopkins playing a stroke victim by channeling his inner Popeye.

I am not trying to invalidate your experience, but the things you describe sound very much like (at least borderline) abuse.

It’s not shitting on you or people like you to admit that there’s a huge potential for abuse in treating children like property without rights, and to consider whether there are better options - like a formal commitment process - that would allow residential treatment programs to help very troubled children.

I appreciate the fact that this experience helped you. However, when people say something “saved their life” I’m always a bit dubious.
There’s no way of knowing what would have happened to you had you not gone to this school. You may have had some other profound experience that changed your life for the better. You

I watched this at 3am figuring it would help put me to sleep, honestly. But watch it I did and my takeaway is this whole game is pretty much rigged against her. It’s seems like a nearly-impossible situation for her if she’s got to convince a court that she is competent to handle her own affairs. Maybe the legal folks

It could make Captain Queeg’s testimony in the Caine Mutiny look like W reading My Pet Goat, which is why his lawyers would NEVER NEVER NEVER let it happen.

Professional pyrotechnics people have accidents all the time. If that’s not the strongest argument not to DIY that shit, I don’t know what is. Just buy damn confetti poppers and eat cake! People only really are there for cake anyways!

Particularly antique grenades, though, typically (and im sure when the guy bought the antique grenade he was told it was de-activated) they aren’t live when you do. Legally they can’t be sold to anyone without doing so, but once in a while someone comes across ordnance that hasn't been de-activated already.

Watch nerds definitely can be tiresome. Signed, A Watch Nerd.

Parsley, sage, rosemary and fuck you, Spanfeller.

I use the day/number of month function on my watch at least a few times a day. Without it I wouldn’t know what day of the week it is, seriously. It was bad before Covid, now it’s really bad.

No, you were right. Racism should’ve been a dealbreaker for her, but too often for white women it is not. And she doesn’t get to use abuse to skirt accountability for it.

Or even better, she acts like the ugly American tourist she is, and has a bad run in with the Federales.

The tribute on NPR’s Morning Edition had me crying. What a remarkable man who did so much, to be cut down by something that could have been prevented if people behaved responsibly - or with a fraction of concern he showed for his fellow human. In three months he would have been 101.

I hated the way his fundraising efforts were focussed on & presented as a great positive story; the NHS is not a charity, and the fact that a hundred year old war veteran who could hardly walk felt the need to raise funds to try and compensate for some of the failures of our current government is frankly shit.

This man is truly the best part of humanity, being failed by the worst part of humanity.

The shit part is watching all the social media outpouring from Brits about this great man while they still have posts up from going out to the pub just prior to the current lockdown.

EDIT: For context, he died from complications relating to COVID.
