flac is lossless and generally 4-6 times larger than an mp3 file. I can generally hear the difference between most mp3 files compared to flac or cd quality. Specially on big sound systems.

Yes but it applies more to subatomic particules.

Those discussions have been had already. No one wants to engage with you because it's old news and they aren't interested in wasting energy. You posted like 6 replies to the same comment. Your initial comment was barely relevant to the article.

Dude. It’s not mainstream pop. Who cares that she’s not getting 500 million clicks. She is still putting out consistently good music and has the freedom to not have to pander to a diluted audience that wants the same catchy hooks.

Who said they are obligated to mention artists you like. Is it your first reaction to comment on stuff not mentioned. When you read an article about beef do you comment that they didn’t mention chicken?

I have never heard that myth. How can a file 5-6 times smaller be better quality?

Hum. Not sure you’re right. On a population of 5000000 CDs the minimum sample size to get a confidence level of 98% with +/- 3% error margin is 1509 cd’s. Even at the limit of statistical accuracy for a 95% confidence level with +/- 5% error margin it’s still over 300 CDs.

Did I miss something. Yahoo bought it for 1.1 billion. If the loss is 98% is the valuation of Tumblr now 2.2 million. The only other number was the 200 million write-off but that's different I think.

Speed of AI oscillations. That means absolutely nothing. Without the acronym its speed of artificial intelligence oscillation. Please someone explain to me how they thought anyone in that room would fall for that.

It has been done before. Just not for a small show

The goal of the study wasn’t to determine if it would work but rather if using large volcanic eruptions as a model is accurate or not. The results show that there is a difference and that we should be cautious.

No it isn’t. Even if Netflix uses social media data, and I haven’t found a source that confirms that it's not manipulating the algorithm it's using the algorithm in the way it's intended. If the guy had created fake accounts to make it seem like there was more engagement than reality that would be manipulating the

Do you have a source for that. According to a very quick research Netflix doesn’t seem to use data from social networks.

Yup. Cigarette makers all have vape products now which are mostly all shit and it cost more to produce then cigarettes and their profit is lower so they lean hard on the government to find anything. They are hoping to ban all vape products and let all the people flick back to cigarettes

No. Don’t try and justify the title. It’s clickbaity and you know it. There is no hacking, no algorithm manipulation. The guy just paid for smart promotion on social which then made people look for the show on Netflix which then put it in the carrousel. Also the show is funny in a stupid way and easy viewing which

Seems like you are the one who overlooked the detail that less than 30 words later the article clearly states that 1950 is not the last time such a event happened but rather the year they started to record such data.

Well after taxes it’s more like 150k 12 500$/month

That's the thing with culture, you don’t have to get it. It may just not be for you. There’s no need in trying to overanalyze the meaning.

I watch a lot of movies and shows on my phone and I see every detail and it's not too dark at all.

It's not their responsibility but it's also pretty shady of them to hide they were doing it then lie about how it happened.
