The insanity continues.
It’s a glorious 81 degrees Freedom Units™ and I finished all the yardwork, about 12 total hours since Friday. No one can blame me for their prahpertee valyoos, nor do I give a damn. Is 4pm too early for this double IPA? If so, kiss my buns because it's already open.
Let’s look at the obvious pluses of this longboi versus my Paseo:
Sure, it’s a hatch and not a wagon. Sure, it’s naturally aspirated and isn’t much more powerful than a base Corolla. But, it has symmetrical AWD instead of the Haldex AWD system.
“Oh, grandpa. You and your stories."
After over five years of stewardship, I achieved the best miles-per-gallon mark yet: 26.33 mpg, easily besting the previous mark of 25.45
This purple 100-Landy is listed for 16k with a bunch of miles... PNW tax + Toyota tax + Landy = No shit, pal.
Went to see some of my family visiting from The South, got to do beach things, and then came home to a nice sunset.
Let it all out.
I can’t afford both — or either — as of now. But I’m gonna piss some money away in 2020 I guarantee* it.
2004 IS 300 sedan — but there’s more! It’s a 2004 Sport Design with a manual transmission, which is the best configuration* (*unless you want a wagon). All options, and rare two-tone interior, sport wheels, graphite (whatever they call their dark gray paint).
Drove to Chelan and back today for work. This coupled with my wife waking me up at 3am during the earthquake (I mean — that’s what you should do but I’m sooooo tired, wahhhhh), I feel like I’m barely hanging to my sanity.
Wife woke me up in a small panic, whole house felt like a lazy spectator doing the wave. You’re like, “Is the house moving?” Oh yes, yes it was.
