I guess it depends why you were wanting to watch it - if you were interested in a fun kung-fu show, no. If you're a Defenders fan and wanted to be up to speed before that, maybe.

That final shot infuriated me. What was I supposed to take from that?! Its like they just didn't know what to do to finish it.

Harold, whilst a fine enough villain, made for a terrible final fight. He was a hoot to the end, though.

Well, true, but given her concern/awareness that Ward is in a very bad state and there must be a reason for it, does she really have any reason to think he's lying when he tells her their father has killed and been abusive to him?
I think the bit that threw me was the 'He's a monster' 'You're the monster!' exchange.

I think your defense is pretty solid, here, and I do agree that they laid the groundwork for Joy and Ward doing a switcheroo from their respective hero/villain trajectories - think back to their conversation in which Joy admired all of Ward's decisions (Harold's decisions) and that crushing him. He reassures her so

My SO pipped Pelphrey as the standout right back in episode two and I couldn't see it at all, but he said essentially that he was putting on an incredibly internal performance and the blankness was intentional, and he was right. (He also said he was 'a bit Michael Shannon', which, yeah.)

Now, I'm not suggesting you stalk Tom Pelphrey's twitter because I generally don't condone that but I'm also saying you should stalk Tom Pelphrey's twitter, because he is adorable.

Maybe even a Beagle.

Shit, you're right.

F: Jessica or Frank (I'm not going anywhere near Matt, I don't have a death wish.)
M: Luke or Foggy (He does his job, people, that's called stability.)
K: Danny, obviously.
Give a Blanket and a Cookie for trying, Drive to Rehab, Support a Road to Recovery AND THEN Marry: Ward Meachum.

Luke was definitely better written than Danny was, absolutely, which helped support a slightly patchy performance.

"In the end, isn't it all about slaying our demons and reclaiming our place in New York as a real New Yorker? Destined to be responsible for protecting New York and living up to our responsibilities to our families? That's what being a hero is really all about."

Shades and Mariah realllly helped me through the second half of LC - I liked it more than most, but that's because I just focused on those two, really. I struggle a bit with LC himself, because of the a)invincible power and b) I don't think Colter's a particularly strong actor. He's way above Finn Jones, but a good

This would be so. good.

If I do rewatch this, I'm pretty sure my skip-viewing will be as follows: "Is Ward on screen? No? … Claire then? No? Skiiiip."

If Iron Fist had been Unbreakable Danny Rand, it would've been exponentially improved.

My mind is stuck on a rage loop about that zoooooom in on The Fist, to be fair.

I have never laughed so hard at a climactic fight sequence.

4)An amazing supply of foil to make industrial strength throwing stars with.

Veeery comprehensive, but I think pretty accurate.
