Boo, I loved the score for Arrival.

I have very little interest in seeing this, but, good for Sebastian Stan! Continue being the most successful Gossip Girl alumni!

I've seen it pretty widely praised, but still haven't got round to seeing it yet. Is it worth it? It took me the longest time to realise that it was a remake of Criminal Justice with baby Ben Whishaw back in 2008, which I enjoyed, but strong start then… eh.

Preacher is going pretty unfairly ignored, huh? Boo!

No Arrival surprises me, but glad Amy got the nod for that - at least the lovely score got noticed.

Most of my favourites are up here (that first contact scene in Arrival, dang).

THIS IS KATANA. SHE'S GOT MY BACK.

The combat was SO GOOD.

I'm getting a real FFXII vibe too - in the gameplay and structure, also. It's definitely the FF I'm finding it most comparable to. I'm thinking that's promising, as after my initial misgivings, I've come round to XII with time. Now it ranks among my favourites.

But not the delightful television series, Threesome!

Clone High at number 2 on the community ratings?

Yeah, I'm suprised by how little recognition there's been of how -bad- the novel is when you really look at it, and how Susan is romanticising it because of her own ennui. It would be a mediocre, misogynistic thriller at best without the framing story that works to reveal so much about Edward and Susan. I thought it

Once you're on board with the idea that each of these characters are archetypes in their own genre, it became truly great watching them get ratcheted out of their zones by the sudden infringement of someone else's story. I'm really looking forward to seeing how that plays out in season two.

This is honestly my favourite article on the AV Club every year. I love 'Say "No!" To Architecture'.

I love Bad Bad Hats!

Not the only Logan fan in the world, I'll back you up! I'm not so keen on the affair aspect (poor forgettable Paul) but I agree that there's something organic about Logan being the one she can't break from, when their relationship was good, they made a good foundation for each other. It makes sense to me they'd claw
