Foggy jumped up pretty significantly in my esteem in season 2.

So we've got our allies (except Colleen so far) confirmed, so tomorrow we get confirmations for Kingpin, Shades, Mariah, and Turk Barrett, right?

Oh really? That was driving me nuts at the time, because it certainly sounded like Rhodey.

The quantum scene in particular felt like a precursor to this.

Yeah, the visual effects really were the big take away from this one, and the inventiveness of some of the fight sequences (particularly the one towards the end involving time).

Aaah, apologies if my response was a little much, then. Sarcasm is a tricky one. Especially when I've seen that perspective given utterly seriously more than a few times.

Oh man, the enunciation alone would be fantastic. The poor sound mixer who has to handle that conversation…

That would have actually been great. I kind of hoped that's where that (sadly short lived) bit was going.

Ugh, please. Plenty of people are criticising it, just go look at the comments on the reviews here.

Ack, sorry.

Oh, I was talking about the 20+ years between Alfre and Theo, which I thought was a pretty unusual move for Marvel. Makes eight years seem pretty manageable.

Well, they've done it once on Luke Cage already, why stop there?

On the one hand, good, here's hoping the shorter episode order keeps the narrative a little tighter. On the other hand, balancing four heroes and their various ensemble players, I wonder if we'll find 8 episodes too few this time around. Eh, I'm optimistic.

Very true, and that's a pretty solid point on DDS1. It's telling that, to me, the material that helped salvage the Luke Cage season finale equally rested on the shoulders of its stronger performers, but was sadly relegated to just the last ten minutes or so. (Looking at you, Alfre Woodard.)

Ha! That's terrible.

That it would. I'm not sure Shades would take on Fisk if he could work with him instead, though….

I liked it and would consider it worth it. Opinions differ.

Oof, no, I hope that's not how it goes down. Here's hoping they've seen the backlash (and its hardly been quiet) against offing Cottonmouth when they did/Diamondback, and avoid a similar structure for season 2.

So I'm genuinely wondering - as it is a common theme amongst those who didn't enjoy the show/criticise the direction of the show - but, what would this narrative have looked like if they hadn't killed Cottonmouth when they did? He couldn't see any other route other than a stronger gun either. Would we have wanted him
