'Tonight' is my favourite, too. Ulysses is genuinely one of the best songs I've ever heard.

I kind of want to upvote you for username/comment synergy… but I just can't bring myself to.

I'm sorry. Internet hugs aren't much at all, I know, but you have mine.

I know you're joking, but please, don't give 2016 any more ideas. :/

Oh my word. I just saw him in Green Room the other week, he was fantastic. This is so sad.

Like a fencer or the like? Interesting!

Ooof, four ones? Tough gig, but I love the idea of a super creepy Death Cleric. Just wandering around behind people and sniffing them, Hannibal style.

As you've seen below I've copped to not playing all the way through, so it might be that I didn't really experience that variety and challenge you've given. My SO disagrees with me pretty heavily on this subject, so for me it's always been that I never got what it was people liked so much about the combat.

I watched someone else finish the game from that point, and I actually kind of resented that chickening out. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully aware that the game consistently presented him for what he was, and that action being something you had no choice about makes a pretty significant point about Kratos as a character

Thanks for this Matt - important context for those of us who have only seen the trailer.

I sobbed my face off during that scene first time, but I listen to the song now to cheer myself up, so I can believe that.

I've tried to play them in the past as people whose opinions I respect love them, but I've never stuck one out. The set pieces are rightfully acclaimed, but I found the combat outside of them repetitive, and the power fantasy aspect unappealing.

I'm not a lover of the God of War titles, having attempted to play a few, and watched others play them, but I'll say this - the one big problem with that trailer was the claustrophobic camera. You're right to call the camera of the originals near perfect.

Thumper looks great.

Wonderful film.

That's amazing, and very cool of him! Yeah, Swery seems like a really decent guy.

I hate to break it to you, but it's right there in the song.

Nooooo. I really hope he's ok; hasn't this year taken enough from the world yet?

The games of Swery. I've never played anything I fell in love with as quickly as Deadly Premonition, but playing the first episode of D4 confirmed it. It's like it taps right into my unobjective zone and I can't see any of the no doubt glaring flaws.

Upvoted for multiple uses of the phrase 'Toff Wanker'.
