I'm digging the ribbon in Explorer. While some of the more common things I don't use (copy, paste, etc - I use keyboard shortcuts) there are a few things they're either bringing back (the up button) or bringing to the front (user permissions, drive management, etc) that will make my life tons easier. As a computer

Here's what I do. You root your phone, install Titanium Backup, and use that to remove whatever version of swype you've got. Then download the swype installer, log in with your info, and download the latest version of swype. I've had to do this several times (I flash custom roms on my phone). Each time it's worked

I check the dates just to make sure it won't expire within the next day or two. Other than that, it doesn't stand a chance.

The censoring is in the google voice recognition software (speech to text) which is a separate entity from Google Voice. GV is for using the awesome GV service. This refers to dictating text messages (or other such things) through the separate app.

I usually go through 3ish gallons a week. I love the stuff. When I moved out of my parent's house after college the household milk consumption was cut by about 2/3.

The room where I work is nice and open. Everybody's desk is ringed around the wall and we've got a massive bank of shelves that sit in the middle of the room. Although I'm a computer tech, so it's not exactly what you'd call a traditional office anyway.

I've never used the actual GV interface to make a call, but I have used the link in my Gmail to do it. You might try that and see if that will work for you. As for why the GV app doesn't show up, that's kinda strange. If you have an android phone or know somebody who has one, maybe you could grab the GV .apk and

I don't think they will. MS has been busy trying to get everybody they can off of XP onto Win 7. And for Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate users they're essentially giving you the same thing for free, just on your PC all the time. Now if they were doing the virtualization of 7, I could see MS getting cranky.

But this is a football stadium we're talking about. It's very rare for a football game to be called on a count of weather. Rain, snow, fog, just about anything, they keep on playing.

Yup. It's pretty sweet.

I don't know what you guys have on iOS, but on my android phone I've got an app called cardstar. All I have to do is punch in the info from my card or scan the barcode for it, then select the merchant and I'm good to go. Then when it's time to checkout I just pull up the virtual card on my phone and the cashier just

Same here man. It's a winning formula that I don't want to mess with. Although this would be handy at a concert or some other gathering with a bunch of people. I always get a bit twitchy at those and move my wallet to one of my front pockets. A case like this would definitely make that easier.

Wow, you can't change the screensaver on a kindle by default? I've got a nook and one of the big things they tout is the ability to add your own pictures to the device and to apply any of them as a background or screensaver.

You could use HFSExplorer. I know the Mac tech at the shop I work at uses it (or something similar).

Ok, I see what you're getting at. Yeah, the new high end APU is not good for a small space. But that's why they have the e-350. It's got a bit more power to it than an Atom/Ion combo, but uses less juice.

I just bought a very similar board to that. It's MSI's version of the whole platform. It's a good little board.

Wow. I always thought this was just common knowledge. My dad taught me this when I was a little kid. Although we are a bunch of rednecks, so we always do crazy stuff like this.

I got the Comfort Curve 2000 for my parent's computer a few years ago. My mom has rheumatoid arthritis and she absolutely loves the thing. Plus on the rare occasion when I use their computer I don't have to use some clunky uncomfortable "ergonomic" keyboard.
