I never got the criticism that this game is short. Its around 15 hours with all the side content included. Thats longer than most of the "blockbuster" games nowadays. Not every game needs to be a 60 hour epic.

That podcast marked the epitome of the medium. Fuck it, its the epitome of all human society. Nothing will ever be better than that, shut it down.
Also the review doesn't mention Zach Woods who is funny here. Good to see him getting good work with this and in Silicon Valley after he was wasted on The Office.
The first thing that comes to my mind is being traumatized by The Springfield Files, specifically the glowing "alien" with the high pitched voice.
I think that if you cut out the fluff there is a great 13 episodish season here. There were no huge mistakes here just too much spinning of the wheels.
Ok, so you would complain that the show is stale if they didn't make the change but now that they did make the change you are complaining that.. something. What would please you?

Out of all the P&R series finales, this one would certainly rate in the top 27% or so.
I also loved the direction of the Cones of Dunshire scene. The most epic tabletop game that has ever been played.
There are so many possibilities. I hope we see Ben's reaction to the new Star Wars movies.

I'm a big fan of those two so I am predisposed to like it. I thought it was pretty good, especially for a pilot. It may be the first USA show I watch.
