That moment did not work for me. It came totally out of nowhere and seemed forced. I would have loved to see drunk Ben's reaction to the unexpected news.

I hate to be "That Guy Who Brings Up Season 4", but that Abed stuff seemed ripped straight from it. It was just… off.
These are the types of things that keep Dan Harmon up at night.
B-. Seemed kind of all over the place.
I've been watching Colbert nightly since I was 13. Its safe to say that he's been a large contributor to my sense of humor and the way that I approach politics. It certainly is an end of an era. I wish him all the luck, but if I see him doing a monologue in front of a curtain while a house band punctuates his jokes…
Colbert is the only late night show I make a point to watch. I'm a bit sad he's "promting" to the stale late night formula, but I'm certain he'll find a way to break out. …Maybe.
I don't think I've ever meet anyone in real life or on the internet who watches this show. No one talks about it.
No one's attacking you. I even tried to answer your question.
Its hard to tell based on this episode which was all about establishing the characters and premise. But, you could always try, y'know, watching it or whatever.
I appreciate the thought and effort that was put into crafting this episode, even though I've never watched GI Joe. However, I wish they would've just went and done a full on GI Joe episode instead of trying to justify its existence with the whole Jeff has aging anxiety thing. I thought that stuff was horrible.
That would be a shame. I like The Colbert Report because its not just another stale late night show. How 'bout Paul F Tompkins?
Was I the only one who expected to see some Spongebob dick?
Nah. Just last episode there were people who came there from Houston.
I watch the show because I can just turn by brain off. It is not a show that challenges me. There is always some cool zombie special effects and gore, too. Plus, I can go on the AVClub and read comments that tear it apart, which is fun.
Not really. She was going to go to veterinary school or something in Bloomington but then she didn't for some reason.
OK… I guess that's the logical conclusion… *sigh*
Were they trying to make a blowjob pun with that "Snow"job category? I couldn't decide.
For me it just seemed like random internet humor. There are certainly a few gems, but it is surrounded by random shit that I guess one could interpret as jokes. It is definitely… a way to spend 90 minutes.
Let's see… I stopped listening about an hour and twenty minutes in.
Also, the sound design was great as well.
