It’s incredibly fraught and personal if you have almost no science literacy or understanding of math. Otherwise it’s pretty straightforward: the vaccine poses AT MOST a tiny indirect risk. Covid during pregnancy poses a very tangible risk of miscarriage or death.

You’re worried that the vaccine might cause pregnancy complications (despite no evidence) but less worried about COVID causing them (despite evidence it does).

I don’t understand the hesitancy from pregnant people. The doctor that’s been guiding through your pregnancy is recommending you to get the vaccine. You trust him with your pregnancy but not with that? What the fuck?

When I donate to PPA, half of it goes to my state chapter and the other to the national HQ. It’s not great, but at least it’s something. I assume the larger NARAL and PPA donations from big names go directly to the national HQ who get to unilaterally decide which states get the trickle down dollars, if at all.
