@Rebochan: Women aren't playable in Gears of War and UT3 isn't similar to BC2 when it comes to characters. BC2 has none, UT3 has many.
@herogear: I think it's more likely that no one has ever really asked the question or even considered doing it because there's no demand for it. They just have no reason currently to say 'How about we put in some female soldiers', so they don't.
@Rebochan: Everything takes time and money. If they want to add female character models they need to add entirely new animations, textures, etc. BC2 is barely in working order online, they didn't have any time or money to spare.

I'm pretty sure most female gamers would rather have BC2's destructible environments than have nothing blow up and be able to run around as a female soldier. Besides with all that gear on you'd hardly recognize the difference anyway.

When I was a kid I used to play soccer. I developed a tactic to throw of my opponents - running at them yelling. Most got confused, or scared, and I'd steal the ball.
@Duuuuuuude: Yeah I'm talking about PC. It's always lagged out, and I won't stop complaining until it's patched so that it actually works.

To all the people thinking that represents a 5th button, you are dumb. When I saw this I assumed it was their logo, but then I read some of the comments and realized some people actually think it's a mistake.

Too bad it's had a horribly depressing first week relating to connection issues, because the game itself is stellar.
