Hey I get it when your own words are used against you, you have to take from the Trump playbook and keep trying to insult other people until you feel like you’ve won no matter what

So you’re the one that said and I quote “thats why they teach and stress quick lane changes in rider safety courses” So now it’s not a quick lane change.

So in this case are you choosing quick lane change into and under the box truck or into the side of the car (older altima?)?

The channel is from Kazakhstan so my bet is car manufacturers don’t give them free cars to play with like they do for US based review outlets. So they just got a number SUVs from their family, friends and maybe even viewers and tested them to see how they’d do.

And I’m assuming that you’ve got a lot of experience at temperatures below -30 (negative 30). Oil (especially mineral oil like they’re using) doesn’t flow well at extreme temperatures and is one of the main reasons people in the north use engine block heaters.

Subaru 360s engine the EK31 was an inline 2 cylinder 2 stroke. So it won’t be on this list. I’m also pretty certain that Subaru has never had an aircooled boxer

Gear ratios and final drive are the same on both models ‘17 (old) and ‘18 (refreshed). I believe the 2019s got a 3rd gear change from 1.5211 to 1.59 but it didn’t drastically change the 0-60 or 1/4 times.

That I don’t know. I just checked the Service Manual for the 2017 in the hopes that it might have some information but it provides no insight at all on the center diff.

Just to add to the discussion it’s also believed that the center diff is the reason why the 2015-17 STi’s have a faster 0-60 at 4.6 seconds and quarter mile times at 13.1 seconds at 104.4 mph vs the 2018-2020 0-60 times of 5.7 seconds and 14.1 second at 98.5 mph quarter mile. (Using Motor Trends numbers)

From Subaru and the 2018 Subaru WRX STI Press Kit

So in the case of the Subaru WRX STi this write up is a bit wrong. Since 2018+ the AWD system no longer has both the mechanical and electromagnetic LSD but only the electromagnetic LSD.

Like with all major corporations the answer is never. They wouldn’t bat an eye to screw all of us to make a dollar so you should never feel bad for them and their poor decisions

Lifted Bro Dozers because we’re in 'Merica.

So I’ll put this out here for the people who speed with these (and all U-hauls in general). They’re not engineered for faster speeds than 55 mph which means tires and wheels bearings aren’t designed to handle the heat.

Except that the 2015+ WRXs run a 6 speed (not the same as the STi 6 speed) but still according to many an improvement over the old 5 speed.

In 2018 when Subaru added a folding a rear center arm rest to the WRX and STi which included cup holders they removed the center cup holders. However since the Type RA and the S209 use the same seats (with a color change) as the ‘15-’17 in the back they just kept the center cup holders. So no you’re 2018 never had

No the JDM STi uses and has always used the EJ207. People like you need to learn that just because you see that it’s a 2L engine doesn’t automatically make it that engine that’s available in your market.

Yes it can. It’s a lifted wagon unlike the confused Forester folks up above who think their Foresters are wagons and not SUVs.

If anyone what to fight me about either of those. All I can say is come at me bro!

That’s not because the Forester is a lifted WRX. It’s because Forester and the WRX frame is based on the Impreza. In all reality Subaru is known for being the legos of cars because even the ‘15+ Outback will support several components from the STi including sway bars and the like. This will become even more prevent

They’ll not going to make one. It’s simple economics. In ‘08 when they went hatch only the sales dropped, when the brought back the sedan during the mid-cycle refresh sales went up again and then in ‘15 when they went sedan only sales went through the roof. Keyboard commandos talk about wanting to buy one. But outside
