Military leaders fucking loathe trump. You can say whatever you want about the morality and values of the military but trump is a stupid, lazy, coward with zero respect for the armed forces and the feeling is mutual. It is the one thing “working” in this situation.

When the original futurama run was on netflix I re-watched the whole thing - the first half of season 1 is shockingly awkward and clunky. I remember the whole thing as being ‘omg awesome’ but it was not for a while.

I agree with you that Dems should be open to a more progressive platform and support left-leaning candidates if they have a shot - but Republicans are benefitting primarily from gerrymandering and a tectonic shift in demographics which places a disproportionate amount of power in rural votes.
