It still is. MAVTV carries it live, usually at about 4 a.m. on Sundays.

IIRC, Rahal was also HPD’s test driver for the aero kit, so he’s had more miles with it than anyone. Nevertheless, I thought he’d be a non-factor in the 500 and along with Kimball’s podium, Graham was the biggest surprise of the race for me.

This is Dale. Wish Dale a happy birthday.

Yep. The Porsche hit 338 kph (210 mph) on the (1.8 km) Mistral Straight at Paul Ricard during testing and I don’t even think that was their Le Mans-spec aero.

Riley is running the Viper at Le Mans this year in GTE-AM as a privateer.

Food for thought:

On console: The first two Gran Turismos for Playstation are still fun and challenging, especially now that I have some semblance of racecraft and setting up a car. Rallysport Challenge on the original Xbox is still fun as all getout, too.

I should also add that Marc’s current racecar is the same chassis with a Sienna V6 in it. It makes horsepower in the high 200s, which may as well be a thousand in LeMons.

You beat me to it. Here’s my post downthread:

This could very easily be 10 cars from LeMons, but the craziest of them has to be Marc Labranche’s radial-engined Toyota MR2. I did a long interview with him once, but the basic story is that he bought a Kinner R-5 engine (used in World War II-era primary trainers) and then spent about two years fabricating everything

Jesus, what would they say if they found out there were gay race drivers?

"I know you're a girl, so I'll try to put this into perspective for you."

[Since my comment was in gray below...]

My first thought was for pitchers' safety if the ball is coming off the bat at higher speed, but I suppose if this is an issue of reducing drag, then the velocity to 60' is probably not significantly higher than a raised-seam ball, right? It should only make a big velocity difference over longer distances, no?

I suspect that this includes the Glickenhaus car, as well.

Funny thing I heard recently: Racecar driver reaction times are generally above-average but not incredible. What separates the best of them from average drivers is their ability to process extraordinary amounts of information at once and an advanced spatial awareness.

Isn't that already a thing?
