I thought ChampCar was the last open-wheel series to race there, maybe ALMS after that. Would at least be 2007.

When was the last time PIR held a big-time race? It's been at least a half decade, no? That's a real shame.
PWC spends most of their year supporting IndyCar so that would actually make a good bit of sense if the logistics could be worked out.
Murilee Martin herself will tell you these litter the junkyards nationwide these days.
Before there were lots of purpose-built circuits, the SCCA raced on a lot of public roads, many of them were unique, spectacular, and unimaginably dangerous. Las Ochas Millas in New Mexico is one of my favorites: 7.7 miles of sun-baked desert road around a small oasis, climbing up a mesa and then tearing along the…
I just rewatched this race last week. Scary stuff, lots of insanity in that race, too. It was rained out and then rained out again Monday.
The correct answer is Renault/Eagle Medallion. I explained it in detail for Hooniverse last Thanksgiving.
Gilles Villeneuve has been off the calendar for a couple years (which is a huge shame); Xfinity/Nationwide/Busch/Second-Tier Series goes to Mid-Ohio now with Trans Am on the support bill. It was a pretty good race last year.
The author can probably answer those questions better than I can, but this program is still very young. They have only had a complete car for a couple months and they still have two months before they turn up for official preseason testing. I would guess you'll start getting more information and a lot more testing…
Not that you or I will be there, but Gunnar Jeannette will be driving one of these this weekend at the HSR races at Palm Beach International.
So did Ford. Where is their marketing department today?
We're pretty far from the topic at hand by this point, but let me ask you this: Do you honestly think Ganassi was the only DP team getting money at that time? And do you think the ALMS never gave breaks and/or accommodations and/or money to keep teams in the series?
I did something like that for Hot Rod for a couple months, but their readership didn't seem to give much of a hoot about F1 or IndyCar or anything that wasn't V8s.
I'm curious how you think Ganassi didn't deserve to win. All of their strategy calls and Dixon saving fuel were what gave them the lead with 70 minutes remaining.
What would be the name of Team RLL's boy band?
Came to post the Mazda B-Series engine, but it was mentioned already. So I'll mention its Ford Escort cousin, the CVH, which was used in various configurations in all kinds of Fords (EXPs, Escorts, Tracers, Lynxes, Orions) around the world, plus Reliant put it in the Scimitar (because they were cheap) and Morgan even…
Mine 'sploded at 113,000 miles. I felt lucky it lasted that long.
There's one of those, too. It's a bit "high-concept," but the Raiders logo on the hood is actually Alyssa Milano's face.
Probably: 3 Audis, 2-3 Toyotas, 2-3 Porsches, and 2-3 Nissans for the factory cars, plus 2 Rebellions and, ostensibly, a "Lotus" or two. So somewhere between 13 and 16 LMP1 entries. And I'd expect LMP2 to be pretty crowded.
Michael Krumm?
